How does Sharethrough’s technology optimize campaign creatives?
Sharethrough has a proprietary algorithm that optimizes creatives based on Viewable Impressions and Engagement performance metrics.
How is the optimization set-up within SFP?
Within SFP, users can set their optimizations to take place at either the Campaign or Creative level.
What is variant optimization?
Variant optimization is the process of optimizing towards certain variations (that is, headline and thumnail combinations) of the same creative.
How frequently do the optimizations occur?
Optimizations occur every hour. Within each hour, our technology will serve only one variant or creative.
Why am I seeing low-to-no delivery on certain creatives?
Why isn’t the creative with the highest engagement rate the one receiving the majority of traffic?
There may be points where the highest performing creative is not necessarily receiving the majority of the campaign’s traffic. This is due to our machine learning, which is reliant on each creative getting enough traffic in order to determine the proper optimizations. Keep in mind that within any given hour, our technology will only be serving one variation of your creative, so if you’ve added multiple new variations, the technology will need time to evaluate the performance of those before making optimizations. Additionally, there is a case (within campaigns of especially long length) where the technology may periodically re-evaluate other creatives/variants that may have experienced lower performance earlier on in the campaign.
How often is data on the dashboard updated?
While optimizations happen hourly, all reporting within SFP is updated on a daily basis.
