AdGet is a Chrome Browser Extension (version 6.0.2) that inspects web pages for Sharethrough technology.
It can be downloaded from the Google Chrome Store.
AdGet is used primarily for previewing creatives from SFP on live placements in the wild as well as simulating bids from STX in a publishers' live environment for QA'ing their integrations. Please note that sample bids contain sample ads only and is not live STX demand.
Using the tool, you can force a winning bid to investigate Sharethrough placements. AdGet will detect all live placements on the web page after submitting a sample bid:
- Verify and Inspect Placement Template
AdGet is used to ensure that STR placements are set up and running properly. When the core technology is successfully integrated into the publisher site, you can see the placements render on page. Below are examples of Native Display templates rendering on page that would confirm a successful size and template used for the ad slot.
- Force Fill (Header Bidding, Server-to-Server and Tag)
It is becoming increasingly common for publishers to integrate Sharethrough where our exchange competes with the publishers' other demand sources in real time for every impression. In such cases, Sharethrough's technology is usually only served to the page when we have the highest bid.
AdGet provides a "Force Fill" feature that allows you to specify a high bid price that will likely win the header auction. ($5-10 is typically a good starting point for most publishers.)
To use this feature, simply choose the Integration Type you would like to compete in. Then select the Force Fill Creative Type (Native Display, Enhanced Display, Native Video and Enhanced Video) and enter the CPM you would like to bid at. Once you have completed selecting your settings, select Submit and this will cause the page to reload so a new header auction can run. AdGet will simulate a bid response from STX at the desired CPM rate. If that rate is high enough to clear the header auction and if the publisher does not have higher priority line items competing for the impression (such as their own direct sales), Sharethrough will win the impression request and will be served to the page.
From there, AdGet can be used to find and inspect the placement on page.
Note: The sample bids contain sample ads only -- not live STX demand!
