Content engagement ads produce a content card experience directly in the feed and can distribute all forms of content.
From your Campaign screen > Click New Creative.
Select Content Card.
SAM will review the content URL and attempt to populate the thumbnail, headline and description of the ad unit from this content URL. When users click on your ad unit, the ad unit will drive them to your Content URL. All aspects of your creative can be edited from the next screen. If you do not have a content URL yet, click 'Skip, I don't have a Content URL' and you can add it later.
Smart use of creative optimization is the easiest way to increase the performance of your campaigns. The default setting is to automatically optimize your traffic towards the best-performing variants, but you can also choose to divide impressions equally between all variants.

Third party beacons are sometimes used to verify delivery, but are completely optional. These 1x1 pixels can be fired on the visible impression, click, or video play, and several other tracking parameters. On this screen, you will be presented with options on how to customize your content card. Using Sharethrough's editor, you can easily add, delete, and rearrange different content blocks in addition to adding more content pages. The right hand side preview will update in real time to show what the post-engagement experience will be like.
Text Block: Add and format text in various ways. To format text, simply highlight the section you want to change and adjust the formatting with the hovering options.
Image Block: Upload an image from your computer (5MB maximum) to display. These images will be automatically centered and resized to fit the screen responsively.
Social Content Block: Embed content from YouTube, Vine, Instagram, Pinterest, or Vimeo into your content experience. YouTube videos will be automatically centered and resized to fit the screen responsively once it's live.
The Custom Call to Action feature can be customized and lets the user take action after seeing your ad.
Once you are finished building your content card, click Next: Targeting to continue setting up your creative's targeting specifications.
