Chrome’s Privacy Update (for DSPs/Exchanges)

To prepare for the upcoming Google Chrome cookie policy changes, Sharethrough will be implementing changes to our cookie setting and user sync behavior. 

Google’s changes are expected to release with Chrome 80 on February 4, 2020. Going forward, cookies which are intended to be accessible in a cross-site context must have “SameSite=None” and “Secure” attributes set in the cookie.

Sharethrough’s Changes

• We will set Sharethrough cookies with the “SameSite=None” and “Secure” flag
• Initiate all user syncs with partners using HTTPS, even on non-secure pages
